  7. Dr. Helene’s Aromatherapy Hair...

As women, we’re always chatting with each other about hormones, skincare, fashion—and yes, our hair.

One of my longtime friends mentioned that her ponytail isn’t as thick as it used to be.

Another wonders why she’s finding so much hair in the shower.

Someone else says her hair simply won’t grow no matter what she tries.

Before long, everyone is sharing stories and asking the same question:

“What is happening to our hair?”

Girlfriend-the truth is, you’re not imagining it.

Hair changes are incredibly common during perimenopause and menopause. Add in seasonal shedding, stress, illness, thyroid imbalances, inflammation, or even rapid weight loss, and it can feel like your hair has a mind of its own.

I hear these concerns from women all the time in my practice. Honestly, I’ve had many of these conversations with friends, family members, and patients over the years.

That’s one reason I love simple rituals that support scalp health.

When my scalp feels dry, irritated, or my hair just isn’t looking its best, one of my favorite things to use is my Aromatherapy Hair Rinse.

Not because I expect it to work miracles overnight.

Rather, it helps my scalp feel refreshed, my hair feel cleaner and lighter, and it gives me a few moments of self-care in the middle of a busy week.

Sometimes those small rituals matter more than we realize.

And when they include ingredients that may help support a healthy scalp and healthier-looking hair, even better.

Why Scalp Health Matters

When women think about hair loss, they often focus on the hair itself.

However, healthy hair starts at the scalp.

Think of your scalp like the soil in a garden. When the soil is healthy, plants thrive. Likewise, when the scalp is nourished and balanced, hair follicles are often better able to function properly.

For this reason, supporting scalp health can be an important part of a comprehensive hair restoration plan.

Who Is This Aromatherapy Hair Rinse For?

This rinse is for you if:

✔ You are in perimenopause or menopause and experiencing hair loss

✔ You’re noticing hair thinning and your part widening

✔  It’s the end of spring, going into summer and you start seeing seasonal hair shedding

✔ You are on a GLP-1 weight loss medication, or other weight loss program and you start to notice you are shedding pounds and hair as well

✔  Your scalp feels dry or irritated

✔ Anyone looking for a natural hair care routine

Although this rinse may support scalp health, it works best when combined with a comprehensive plan that addresses the root causes of your hair loss.

The Power of Botanical Ingredients

Rosemary: Nature’s Hair Growth Herb

Among all essential oils, rosemary has received some of the strongest scientific support for hair health.

Research suggests rosemary oil may help improve scalp circulation and support healthier hair follicles. In fact, some studies have shown results comparable to a 2% minoxidil solution.

Because circulation is important for healthy follicles, rosemary has become a favorite natural remedy for hair loss.

Lavender: Calm the Scalp and the Mind

Not only does lavender smell wonderful, but it may also help create a calmer scalp environment.

At the same time, lavender is known for its relaxing properties. Since stress can contribute to excessive shedding, lavender may provide additional support for women experiencing stress-related hair loss.

Peppermint: A Refreshing Boost

Peppermint provides a cooling sensation that many women love.

Additionally, studies suggest peppermint may support healthy circulation and encourage follicles to enter the active growth phase more efficiently.

As a result, it is often included in natural hair growth formulas.

Apple Cider Vinegar: The Hidden Hero

Apple cider vinegar has been used for generations to support healthy hair.

Not only may it help remove product buildup, but it can also help leave hair feeling softer, cleaner, and shinier.

Because a balanced scalp environment is important, apple cider vinegar remains one of my favorite additions to a natural hair rinse.

Hair Loss Is About More Than Hair

Although natural remedies can be helpful, hair loss is rarely caused by one thing alone.

Hormones may play a role.

Stress can contribute.

Low iron, thyroid problems, inflammation, poor nutrition, and seasonal shedding may also be involved.

Therefore, it is important to look deeper rather than simply trying another shampoo or supplement.
