Summer fun and sun can cause skin irritation even sunburn.  Here’s a great DIY recipe to have on hand for those warm sunny Sumer days!

Ingredients:
¼ cup organic aloe vera gel
4 drops lavender oil

Directions:

  1. Add 1/4 cup ( 2oz) aloe vera gel and lavender essential oil into a bowl.
  2. Stir all ingredients until they are completely blended.
  3. Put the gel in your fridge for 5 minutes so it has a cooling effect on your skin. Use a cotton swab to rub the gel onto your skin to get relief from inflammation.
  4. Store this in the fridge and apply cold to the skin for even more of a cooling sensation.

Variation To Make Aloe Vera Ice Cubes:

  1. Pour mixture into an ice tray.
  2. Place into freezer for 4-6 hours until completely frozen.
  3. To Use: Rub one cube onto sunburned or irritated skin hours as desired for relief.

So cooling and refreshing!
